Antique Edwardian Garnet 14K Gold Earrings

Those pretty antique Edwardian earrings are pure charm. 

The lovely gems are pyrope garnets. The wine red tones of the stones are reflected around the facets of their round cut, looking ever so pretty in buttery yellow gold, six prong settings. The earrings are 14 karat gold, not hallmarked hence the precious metal has been tested. The earrings were made around 1910, most likely in Continental Europe. 

The garnets measure 4.63 and 4.76 mm in diameter. The total length of the earrings looking from the front is is 11.25 mm. The hooks are 13.2 mm long. They weigh 1.37 grams together and are in lovely antique condition. 

Garnet is a Birthstone for January and the 2nd anniversary of marriage gift. Garnet is a gemstone symbolising love, courage and positivity. 

We love .... the sparkly tones of the sweet pomegranate gems and adore the feminine and very flattering short, just below the ear dangle look. Delicious !
