Antique Solid 9K Rose Gold 17.25 Inch 45.1 Grams Paperclip Albert Chain Necklace
This absolutely divine antique Albert chain in lush, solid rose gold - so smooth, ever so gently kissed by time and near one and a half century of love - it has a beautiful feel to it and a gorgeous patina. She is in a most stunning condition with all those bolts and dog clips going on. She is abundance !!
The luxurious richness of the the mellow rose gold of this chain is just fantastic. The paperclip link is simple and elegant, fancy but not frilly at the same time. Just gorgeous !! It is hallmarked with "9" and ".375" on each small and long link as well as the dog clip and the T-Bar for 9 karat English gold. There is also a maker's mark "W.H.A" on the T-bar and one of the long links- this one quite rubbed. Having this maker's mark on both is a sign of a great quality chain. She was made in England, around 1900-1910, the Edwardian period. The links consist of streamlined, rounded and gently curved, elongated sections interspersed with smaller oval ones, just so very attractive ! She is a substantial, solid gold lady, weighing a superb 45.1 grams and is 17.25 inches long. The links measure 6.58 mm in width. She is a lovely, fine quality necklace and looks stunning worn alone or layered with other chains, please see our photos for inspiration. She has an elegant, interesting look, great, opulent weight and fine detail afforded by wonderful and skilful craftsmanship.
We love ........ this antique Albert chain! It is fascinating how contemporary and wearable her look is and how it carries off the antique softness and charm making it irresistible. Why would you resist the abundance of style, grace and beauty ?!
