This gorgeous, substantial antique chain has a classic and timeless link. It it suitable for both vintage and antique pendants and charms and makes a beautiful necklace on its own .

It is a Victorian longuard chain dating from around 1890.  The chain is made in heart melting, buttery and rich yellow gold ,hallmarked with" 9C" for 9 karat English gold and also additionally tested. It has a lovely original dog clip which measures 1 inch in length, perfect for attaching your charms and pendants to. The chain features a softly faceted cable link design, a very attractive feature which sets this lovely chain necklace apart from the more often seen, plain ones. It is also fantastic to find it in yellow gold. It has a great length of 48.5 inches, the dog clip lengthens it by an additional 1 inch when worn. The links are 2.92 mm wide for a fabulous look and it weighs 33.9 grams. In great antique condition.

This fantastically versatile necklace can be worn long opera length as well as doubled around your neck. It will mix beautifully with other chains, also rose gold and silver for a layered look.
