Antique Victorian Conversion Diamond Pinched Collet Set Earrings

There are not enough pretty earrings in this world. You know, the ones we really want to wear ! So we re-designed some elements of a Victorian brooch and voila ! a gorgeous pair of earrings for you!

The diamond components date from around 1880 and are made in silver. They had 14 karat yellow gold posts added and have been fitted with 14 karat gold butterflies, which are hallmarked "585" for 14 karat gold. The diamonds in those lovely collets are white and bright old mine cut stones with delicious high cut tables. They are open back set, meaning they are ok in the shower. We would caution against swimming in them though as the silver settings might darken due to the chlorine in the water. The diamonds are estimated to weigh O.70 carats in total with the bottom stones estimated to be 0.30 carats each. Their length is 11.82 mm and the maximum width 6.65 mm. The earrings weigh 1.6 grams together with their butterfly fittings and are in great antique condition.
