Antique Victorian Fancy 54.5 Inch 9K Rose Gold Longuard Chain Necklace

One of our most favourite fancy link chain necklaces, we hope you agree ! This is an English Victorian fancy link longuard chain crafted in England circa 1880. 

The intricate, softly faceted "Chanel" like design is much loved and highly sought after. She is just divine and looks beautiful on - by itself or stacked up with other chains. She is 54.5 inches long and does not open, but can go twice or three times around your neck and can also be worn long, opera length. She has a lovely screw opening, fine dog clip on the end for those lush charms of yours. The length of the dog clip with its bale is 21 mm, so your necklace will lengthen by nearly an inch if you hang a pendant or charm from the dog clip. This gorgeous chain is made out of the dreamiest 9 karat mellow, rose gold with a hint of soft, yellow tone. You will find it will go beautifully with your all your antique gems as well as both yellow and rose gold chains. Worn with different pendants and charms she will have a different look every time, you will have endless fun with it. Please take a look at our photos for inspiration. 

She is hallmarked with a tiny "9ct" plaque on one end of the chain, the dog clip is not hallmarked and it tests 9 karat gold. The links are 2.63 mm wide and she weighs 14.5 grams. There are a couple of links with old repairs on them, they are beautifully done and can be found if you are very thorough with a strong jeweller's loupe only, so not visible and perfectly stable. Otherwise she is in lovely antique condition.
