Antique Victorian Pearl Rose Cut Diamond Pendant

Super special and rare to find - and how absolutely gorgeous! This antique Victorian 9 karat gold, silver topped and rose cut diamond pendant with a beautiful pearl set with a diamond at its centre. 

We had a verbal opinion on the pearl from an FGA qualified gemologist. It is 99.99% most certainly natural salt water pearl, but unfortunately the testing of it by x-ray is not possible due to the way it is set into the pendant. The pearl has a gorgeous, light creamy-white colour and a beautiful lustre. The gentle twinkle of rose cut diamonds complements the velvety pearl so beautifully, this pendant is pure delight ! She is a stunning autumnal fruit, beautifully hand crafted around 1870. What fruit ... is in the eye of the beholder ; Liz thinks she is an acorn, to me she is an apple. You choose ! :)

The pendant is made in 9 karat yellow gold with a layer of silver where the diamonds are set. The gem set part of the pendant measures 17.9 mm top to bottom and 14.4 mm side to side. the total length of the pendant is 22.2 mm. The pearl measures 7.2 mm top to bottom and 6.8 mm side to side, it is very slightly oval. The pendant weighs 1.7 mm and it is in a fantastic antique condition.
