Art Deco Diamond Aquamarine Ring

Sparkly and utterly sweet - we love aquamarines ! They are a happy, beautiful blue of the glittering ocean or the summer's fresh morning skies and have an uplifting, light energy we adore. 

In Latin, "Aqua" " Marina" means "Water of the sea". It is the stone of courage, reputed to heal the heart and bring the wearer peace. 

This lovely gemstone sweetie was created in the Art Deco era of the 1920's in 18 carat buttery yellow gold, with a fine layer of platinum for the settings of the gemstones. The ring is not hallmarked and has been tested. The classic cluster has an Art Deco geometric design twist - namely, it is square ! Super white and sparkly antique single cut diamonds surround the equally lively light blue aquamarine. This pretty, pale baby blue gem has a lovely square step cut. A megawatt sparkle there !! The aquamarine is in excellent condition and it is estimated to weigh 0.17 carats. It is set in the rubover setting and mille grained. 12 diamonds surrounding the centre stone are lovely, white, clean and bright and estimated to weigh a total of 0.36 carats. 

The ring is a US size 6 3/4 or UK N 1/2 and it can be easily sized up or down. The cluster measures 8.68 by 8.43 mm. It weighs 2.28 grams and sits lovely and low, just 3.39 mm off the top of the finger. In fantastic antique condition.

Aquamarine is a Birthstone for March and a is a 19th wedding anniversary gift.
