Art Deco Engraved Fox 9K Gold Signet Ring

The fox, a symbol of harmony, protection, wisdom and guidance, used in many cultures over many centuries. Here we have one for you. 

This lovely signet ring was hand crafted in Art Deco period in Birmingham, England in 1933. It is hallmarked with " .9, 375" which is a hallmark for 9 karat gold, as well as an assay mark for Birmingham and a date letter "J" for 1933. It is made in mellow, yellow 9 karat gold with rosy undertones and has a beautiful, classic shape. It weighs 4.3 grams and has been slightly worn around the edges, the way only an antique signet ring wears over time, giving it that highly desired antique heirloom look. The signet features a lovely little fox curled up relaxing. We had him hand engraved by our very talented engraver. The fox is very realistic with an antique shape and vibe to him. 

We love the softly squarish face of this ring. It measures 10.60 mm north to south and 12.40 mm side to side. The top with the shoulders spreads 20.97 mm across the finger. It is lovely and flat against the hand and sits 1.52 mm off the top of the finger. The band at the back is 2.83 mm wide. We had a section of the back of the band re-done as the original was worn a bit thin. it is now strong ad sturdy, good for at least a 100 years more and has the original hallmarks in place. It is size US 8 5/8 or UK R and is suitable for re-sizing within reason. Please ask if you are unsure, we would love to help. 

This gorgeous classic can be worn happily both by ladies and gents and looks and feels fabulous on, also as a pinky ring. It will look stunning by itself or worn with other rings and will make a gorgeous and unique wedding ring. It is in lovely antique condition.
