Art Deco I LOVE YOU Enamel Pearl Abacus Charm Pendant

Abacus ... a symbol of luck, prosperity and happiness. And this gorgeous one also says I LOVE YOU !!

This little lucky charm was made in Birmingham, England in 1951 by a company called Cropp & Farr, in operation since 1919. The abacus is beautifully made in 9 karat gold and fully hallmarked with "9" and "375" for English 9 karat gold as well as maker's marks and anchor for Birmingham with a date letter "B" for 1951. It is set with natural seed pearls and enamelled in black with fine lettering "I love you" in white. Just gorgeous!

The abacus measures 12.8 mm top to bottom and 13.2 mm side to side. Together with its loop it s 19.9 mm long and weighs 1.6 grams. The charm, as well as the enamel and pearls are in fantastic vintage condition.
