Things You Need to Know

PAYMENT
We accept Paypal, credit card, Wise or bank wire payments only. Due to the introduction of a new refund policy by Paypal on 11 October 2019, which results in Paypal keeping their fees, even if we issue a refund to you in the event of a return, we are forced from that date on to charge the 5% that the Paypal charges as a re-stocking fee - apologies for this! Pieces over £5000 must be paid by bank wire or Wise and you will receive a sales receipt immediately once payment is received.


SHIPPING
We offer free, worldwide & fully insured shipping on all our gems (with the exception of Australia, please see at the bottom of this paragraph). Gems within the UK will be sent via Special next day Royal Mail delivery. Fedex/DHL is used for all other shipments. It usually takes 2-5 working days (US 2/3 days usually). Shipments to AUS, HK, Japan etc can take a bit longer. Please note that items shipped to Australia under £1500 will incur a surcharge of £75.

Please do message us before purchasing if you do not live in the UK, N. Ireland, Germany, Italy, Norway, Finland, Sweden, Belgium, Netherlands, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Hong Kong or Singapore for more info. We cannot ship to any countries in South America, India and Bangladesh, Nigeria, Egypt, Turkey, Ukraine, Romania, Russia, possibly others too. So please do message us before purchasing to make sure we can ship to you, thanks for understanding and apologies for any inconvenience!

If paid via Paypal we only ship to the verified address on your Paypal account for both yours and our security, so that the insurance is valid as well as the Paypal Buyer/Seller Protection scheme. You can also have it shipped to your local FedEx facility, for you to collect. If this is not convenient, please consider paying via bank wire or Wise. Please be sure to leave your contact telephone number(s) which we can pass to the courier. We provide a tracking number for all our shipments.

IMPORT DUTY CHARGES
Some countries charge an import duty and/or taxes. Please let us know which country you live in so we can try to help you check how much this will be, but ultimately it is your responsibility to find this out. USA does not charge any import duty for items over 100 years old and we provide an Antique Declaration with our shipments. Similarly, EU and HK also have no import duties on antique pieces. AUS, Japan and Canada do charge import duties. Please be aware of this and do check to avoid unexpected expense! 

LAYAWAY 
We offer flexible and friendly layaway options so please do get in touch if you would like to arrange a plan with us and discuss your preferences further! We offer a 4 month layaway as a standard but can extend this so do please contact us. Returned layaway items do not qualify for full refund but a full store credit and exchange only. You can cancel the layaway for any reason but we ask that it is not cancelled after 4 months please! You can switch to another item on layaway plan but we will offer this option just the once. Please be aware of this before making a purchase!! Thanks!

INVOICING
You will receive official ERA invoices for all your layaway payments or one invoice if paid in full, via email.

PACKAGING
Your item(s) will be be delivered to you securely packaged and in our lovely personalised jewellery boxes with fantastic pouches for your travels. If you intend your purchase as a gift we will include the gift packaging so you can make sure you are happy with your purchase and then gift wrap it yourself.

RETURNS
We want you to be absolutely delighted with your new (old!) treasure and offer a full refund for all items paid in full at a time of purchase. Returned layaway items do not qualify for full refund but a full store credit and exchange only. We regretfully do not offer returns on items altered in any way including re-sizing. We ask to be notified within 14 days of receiving the gem of your intention to return and for it to be sent back within 7 days of hearing from us. We will refund your money within 3 working days of the receipt of the item via the same means that your payment was made by. Items paid by Paypal will incur a 5% restocking charge as of 11 October 2019 due to new Paypal returns policy. Items are to be returned via the original carrier and insured entirely please and at your cost. Gems must be returned in the original packaging and the condition they were in at the time of sending. Before returning a package you MUST notify us first to check the return address and discuss the returning process please!!! We will not accept a package unless we have spoken to you first. For items damaged in shipment please email us at elizabeth_rose8@yahoo.co.uk to discuss - that, knock on wood, has not happened yet! 

CARING FOR YOUR GEMS:
Please message us for your after care info for your beautiful ERA gem.
If a stone falls out, cracks, the piece itself breaks, because a piece is faulty (quite an extreme example but want to show you what we mean!!) and it is NOT due to carelessness, we will of course help & pay to restore your gem to it's former glory!! This is valid for 6 months. But please still get in touch if it is past the 6 months and we will still help you!!

RESTOCKING FEE

We do not charge a restocking fee unless the item was paid for by PayPal ( from 11 October 2019 ) and then it is 5%. This reflects the paypal fees on your payment that Paypal will not return to us from that date. Items altered in any way or damaged in your care do not qualify for a refund.
